Highfield Level 1 Award in the Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF)

Health & Safety qualifications were amongst the first awards to be offered by Highfield. We are pleased to be able to offer our centres awards ranging from level 1 through to level 4, depending on the requirements of their learners. Ensuring staff members are effectively trained in health and safety procedures is extremely important for employers. This is to ensure they have the correct systems in place to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for employees and any other people who may be affected by their business activities

This qualification is designed to provide learners with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace.

Topics The qualification provides learners with an understanding in the responsibilities of employers and employees, the benefits of good health and safety, steps to a risk assessment and how they can reduce accidents, near misses and ill-health, typical hazards and controls in a workplace, common causes of accidents, near misses and ill-health, emergency procedures and the importance of recording accidents, near misses and ill-health.
