COTHM Students Visit Dusit Thani College, Bangkok for International Exposure & Academic Collaboration

A delegation from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), Pakistan, visited the renowned Dusit Thani College in Bangkok as part of an international exposure tour aimed at enhancing cross-border academic engagement and professional development in the fields of hospitality and culinary arts.

The delegation comprised 11 students from the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts departments and was led by Group Head Mian Shahid Mehmood, Team Manager Fraaz Kasuri, and Executive Chef Tipu Imran.

Upon arrival, the COTHM team was warmly received by the Dusit Thani College faculty and staff. The students were given a guided tour of the college’s world-class academic and training facilities, followed by a detailed multimedia presentation showcasing Dusit Thani’s educational philosophy, global reputation, and industry connections.

The visit served as a platform for meaningful exchange between both institutions. John Lohr, Executive Director of External Affairs at Dusit Thani College, engaged in a dialogue with the COTHM team over lunch. He praised COTHM as a leading institution in Pakistan for hospitality and culinary arts education and expressed interest in developing stronger academic ties.

As part of the visit, the students participated in Dusit Thani’s signature One-Day Bangkok Destination Program, for which they were awarded official certificates by the host institution. The delegation also toured the Dusit Thani Princess Hotel located adjacent to the college, offering them practical insights into luxury hotel operations in Thailand.

The visit marked a significant step toward building a collaborative relationship between COTHM and Dusit Thani College, paving the way for future academic exchange, internships, joint programs, and global career opportunities for COTHM students.
