Pakistan’s young culinary stars shine bright on day one of Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge 2025

A dynamic team of young and talented chefs from the Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP) and the College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM) has proudly taken the international culinary stage by storm, as they participate in the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge (TUCC) 2025, being held at Impact Center Hall 12, Bangkok from May 27 to May 31, 2025.

Comprising 10 passionate young chefs – Amina Basit, Sadaf Waseem, Muhammad Nouman, Rana Inamullah Khan, Abdul Rehman, Hamna, Mustafa Shahid, Ali Roman Mehdi, Hamas Ahmad, and MahNoor Murtaza – the team is competing across multiple professional and junior categories, including the Beef Main Course, Pasta Category, Asian Curry Challenge, and Asian Cuisine Challenge.

These young culinary artists are not just cooking – they are representing Pakistan on a global stage, showcasing the richness and diversity of Pakistani cuisine to an international audience.

Accompanying the team are Mian Shahid Mahmood, Executive Director of COTHM Johar Town and Group Head; Fraaz Kasuri, Media & Marketing Director at COTHM and Team Manager; and Tipu Imran, Executive Chef at COTHM Johar Town and Team Coach, and Kainat Shahbaz, Management Trainee Officer (MTO). Their leadership and mentorship are playing a key role in guiding these aspiring chefs through this high-level competition.

Speaking on the first day of the challenge, all team members expressed their excitement and gratitude.

“Being on such a big international stage is a truly inspiring experience. We are learning a lot from the environment, the judges, and fellow participants from around the world,” the young chefs shared in a joint statement.

“We are especially thankful to COTHM and the Chefs Association of Pakistan (CAP) for providing us with this incredible opportunity. Representing Pakistan at TUCC is an honor, and we are committed to making our country proud.”

The managing team said in a joint statement, “Leading the culinary team at this global event is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s not just about competition – it’s about cultural exchange, skill enhancement, and building lifelong professional networks.”
